From the Idea to Realization
When the new themes and innovative jewelry ideas have been discussed then it’s time for the first drawings. This is called modeling in technical language and is a job for the design department.  With the help of artistic brainstorming rough drawings are made from the future jewelry and then perfected until they optimally express the original ideas.  The size and proportion of the jewelry and the weight of the diamond are determined during this phase of development.

Speaking of diamonds, in order to guarantee bellaluce jewelry lovers that they adorn themselves with diamonds from an ethically sound origin, each purchase is accompanied by a certificate providing  information about the material and it’s origin.

Therewith bellaluce guarantees that all diamonds that are used are not only hand selected, masterfully cut and gemmologically graded, but also come exclusively from conflict free sources.

Traditional handcraft and state-of-the-art techniques
Under the motto of “creativity is saying farewell to the past“ the stylish bellaluce jewelry is subsequently produced in the workshops of many expert goldsmiths. At the same time the company’s many years of experience in jewelry production especially in the manufacturing of diamond jewelry as well as state-of-the-art product engineering are constant and influential companions.

Each first model of a new design is created at a computer work station: with the help of a plotter the drawn model is made 3-dimensional and is then produced in a special plastic. This serves as a model for the later casting mold. „Each prototype from bellaluce is made in the respective gold alloy – white or yellow gold, exactly as the jewelry will actually be manufactured and integrated into the collection later“ says Michael Thiel who is responsible for production at bellaluce.  This way we can best judge in terms of design and proportion whether the piece of jewelry  meets the high quality standards of the brand bellaluce. „In this phase it is not a problem to make small adjustments on a ring, pendant or earrings if they are not 100% what we are aiming for“, says Michael Thiel.

The finished casted piece of jewelry now makes it’s way through various expert hands. The casting is freed of any remaining cast and the surfaces are all refined by hand before the gemstone setter expertly sets the precious diamonds in each piece of jewelry.  Again this is a remarkable feature of bellaluce: the diamonds are in fact set in the form of a patented diamond shaped setting made of white or yellow gold, that is not only bellaluce’s  trademark, but because of the slight curve in the precious metal  the valuable stones sparkle in an extraordinary way. It is no wonder that special expert skills are needed for this precise handcraft. At the end of production each individual piece of jewelry is polished extensively by hand so that it can develop it’s own distinct brilliance.

Accompanied by an individual jewelry certificate, the stylish as well as timeless diamond jewelry finds it’s way into the jewelry stores and from there to the hand, ear or décolléte of a stunning bearer!
